The Dalliances
My ever expanding perfume collection is ecletic. This you will notice as we travel through time. In the 80s,90s my fragrances were bold I hasten to add I was not. They were signs of the time somewhat. I owned Montana, turned glass bottle in a blue box, potent floral woody distinctive perfume launched in 1986. This reminds me of my unfortunate experiment with leather trousers they were a mistake this perfume was the only thing that allowed me to escape that time with a degree of credence. One of my favourites of this period was Elle by Yves St Laurent a gorgeous rose, woody fragrance with generous, longevity and projection. I am often tempted to revisit this maybe one day I will.. These two perfumes sit amongst a myriad of others of these eras. Paris was also a precious addition at the time another YSL perfume. Sweet and captivating floral, woody, jasmine & patchouli amongst the notes a distinctive fragrance I adored this one. Can you see a pattern forming ? Jean Paul Gautier Classique, this is still a favourite, equally loved by friends and family I can still enjoy this fragrance on others while I continue to explore. Eden, Cacharel, at this time I worked in a little shop in town when a woman entered wearing the most unusual scent. Of course I asked what she was wearing and she replied Eden. I was intrigued I knew I had to own this. On my lunchbreak I tracked it down to a local department store and the inevitable happened. This was a curious scent at the time and I think still is impactful projection and a wonderful compliment getter. I still own a bottle of the original formula. So many more to revisit I will delve deeper as we go along ,but for now just a peep at some of my favourites, Escape Calvin Klein, The Body Shop, White Musk {divine},Clinique Happy summer in a bottle to me. Clinique Elixir heady and aromatic gorgeous. Gucci Rush happy memories associated with this one it will always hold a special place. There are so many more if not owned by me admired on my interactions with others. A glorious tapestry of a moment in time
and of course the era when I discovered the "One" more on that to come.
